You can start free. An NFC sticker or card is only if you want physical carriers: from the outside, nobody sees a key inside. Photos from users.

The key appears on the device

Locally, in the app, with no server. A wallet for storing cryptocurrency is your key: paper, PDF, QR, or a PIN on the phone.

The transaction is built and signed locally. Only an already signed transaction goes to the server — into the blockchain. Same for every supported network.

Lose the key — access is gone

The PIN cannot be recovered. Save the key in two places right away — that is cold storage on your side. During creation the screen will not let you continue until you confirm you saved it.

We work with private keys (we do not keep a seed on servers): simpler and more reliable. Importing 12 words (BIP44) is available too.

About the free crypto wallet

Is this a free crypto wallet?

Yes. We charge nothing for a transfer — only the network fee. Create, send, receive, swap, DEX — no payment to us.

Do I need sign-up or an ID?

No. A crypto wallet with no sign-up and no ID. Verification is not required. An account is optional, for address sync.

Where is the key?

With you: paper, PDF, QR, or a PIN on the device. It never leaves the device for Mitilena’s server.

What if I lose the key?

You will lose access to the coins. Save it in two places right away — that is cold storage on your side.

Where to begin

What is a private key?

The only thing that grants access to the coins. The wallet shows it at creation — after that it is only yours.

How is it different from an exchange?

On an exchange the coins sit with the company. In a wallet they sit on the blockchain, the key is yours, no third party needed.

Network fee?

A fee to the network (miners/validators), not Mitilena. The wallet shows it before you send.

What if the phone breaks?

Coins live on the blockchain. New phone + saved key — everything is there. Without the key we cannot restore access either.

Which coin first?
